There are so many unique gifts amongst the people at Lake Ridge – we need each and every one of you. Sharing your time and talents are just some of the ways we can learn to grow and serve together, in community. It takes many talented people to run Sunday mornings, our ministries, events and supporting our larger community of Chestermere.
And bonus, volunteering is one of the best ways to make new friends. There’s a team for you.
Worship- Band
On Sunday mornings we hope to be a place of intentional worship, learning, and spiritual growth as we discover what it is to become more like Jesus. We believe worship roots us and realigns us to God's work in our hearts. If you play an instrument or sing let's chat!
Worship- SET UP & Take Down
It's a whole team of people to set-up and take down on Sunday mornings. Each week we have volunteers bringing our church trailer, setting up lights to rolling up cords. It all contributes to the atmosphere on Sundays. No training required.
Worship- VISUALS & SOUND
As part of our worship team our "media & visual" team coordinates with the worship leaders to create slides for our songs, sermons and any other visuals. Our sound team works closely worship team to help create an atmosphere that reflects the team's vision. Training is provided for both teams.
Connections
The connections team is responsible for welcoming, answering questions and creating a space that is comfortable and open. The team is there on Sunday mornings and step in to add their touch on special events.
Coffee
The coffee team brews delicious cups of coffee during our service coffee break. The team works to create a welcoming and hospitable environment at the back of church. Pop by to say hi. Training is provided.
Kids
Kids are central to the life of Lake Ridge Community Church – that’s part of the reason we create a special space each Sunday morning for kids to learn about Jesus and have fun with each other. Lake Ridge’s kids programs are all about relationships – we want this to be a place where kids feel known, loved and accepted. Our kids need volunteers who are ready to jump in by helping or teaching.
youth
Our intention is to create a safe place for junior and senior high aged students in Chestermere to discover themselves and to understand they are a valued part of our community. We welcome all students regardless of which church they or their families might attend on Sunday morning. Through out the year we offer youth events and activities where we can gather together.
Serve Meals
The Serve Meals ministry was created out of our community's desire to care more intentionally for some of the physical needs present at Lake Ridge and in our city. Serve Meals is designed for one-time practical acts of service through food. Ready made meals to pop in the oven and dropped off my our volunteers.
