Inspired to Give

We believe in a generous God—one who gave His Son, Jesus, as a gift to the world. “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son…” (John 3:16, NLT). That kind of love inspires us to live generously. At Lake Ridge, we give our time, talents, and resources as an act of worship and a way to serve others. We want to be good stewards of all we’ve been entrusted with—believing that when we give faithfully, God multiplies it for the sake of His Kingdom, both here in Chestermere and around the world.

Every gift received is used with care and intention, in line with the church budget approved each March. These funds support the day-to-day operations of our church and fuel the work of our ministries—from Kids Church to Worship and everything in between.

How to Give

  • E-transfer - Send an e-transfer to Lake Ridge Community Church at giving@lakeridgecommunity.com and include your full mailing address and phone number for your tax receipt. Read more detailed instructions

  • Canada Helps - Give a monthly or one-time donation using the form available here: Give via Canada Helps Online

  • In Person on Sundays - Gifts can be made by cash, cheque or Credit/Debit Machine during our Sunday Services. Just head to the giving table at the back of the gym!

Fees

Processing financial gifts does come with costs for Lake Ridge. As you plan your giving, here’s how each method impacts fees:

  • E‑Transfer - No transaction fee is charged to Lake Ridge. Your financial institution may charge you depending on your account. Many banks now allow monthly recurring e‑transfers for donations.

  • CanadaHelps - CanadaHelps deducts about 4% from your total gift. They also offer the option to increase your donation to cover this fee if you wish.

  • In Person on Sundays

    • Cash or Cheque - No transaction cost for Lake Ridge

    • Debit via Clover Machine - Lake Ridge pays an administration fee of around 10 cents per transaction

    • Credit Card via Clover Machine - Lake Ridge pays around a 2.5% administration fee on these transactions

Tax Receipts

  • Lake Ridge Community Church is a registered Canadian charity (Charitable BN / Registration #: 822816237 RR0001).

  • Donors will receive a tax-deductible receipt in February for all donations given during the previous calendar year (contact information provided with donations helps make this possible). When making a one-time donation through Canada Helps you will receive your tax receipt at the time of donation.

  • Alberta has the most generous charitable tax credit program in Canada. Currently donors receive credit for 50% of donations beyond $200 each year. These credits can be carried forward for up to 5 years.
