baptism

A Symbol & Step of Faith

Baptism is a profound moment in an individual’s journey of faith in Jesus. At Lake Ridge, we love to gather around each person who chooses to take this step—celebrating their story, surrounding them with prayer, and affirming their place in the family of faith. As part of the Evangelical Covenant Church, we practice both infant and adult believer baptism. Whether you’re just beginning to explore faith or have been walking with Jesus for years, baptism is a way to say, “I belong to Christ.”

Before baptism, we take time to teach, listen, pray, and walk alongside each person. If you’re curious about what baptism means or want to join our baptism class, reach out to Pastor Preston at preston@lakeridgecommunity.com. We’d love to walk with you.

Baptism Sunday

Next Gathering: August or September, 2026 at Lake Chestermere

Each year, we set aside a special Sunday morning to gather by the lake, worship together, and hear stories of faith in Jesus. We baptize with water—then we celebrate with a shared meal on the shore. It’s one of our favorite moments of the year.
