Here I am
This is the rhythm of God’s call into the deep. God, the creator of the deep, the unknown, the new, the hard, the world beyond us, he now knows each of us and calls us. He is with us as we go. Our new sermon series, “Here I am” is about exploring this very pattern found in the scriptures and found in our relationship with God today. God calls, and we respond.
There is this interesting thing that God does often, over hundreds and even thousands of years through the story of the Bible. God calls people by name. The interesting thing is that those who say, “I’m here, I’m listening, all go, send me” are led out into the deep, with God safely leading them.
Don’t miss this point as we step out together: God is calling and we are either ignoring, or listening and responding.
Go Deeper: Resources
Our intention is to create or share resources to help people explore these topics in further depth. Here are a few resources you might find meaningful during this sermon series.

Too often we’ve tossed the anchor overboard when God was calling us to pull it up. Or maybe like Adam and Eve we’ve hidden in shame when God called us out into the open. Or maybe like Samuel we don’t recognize God’s voice in our lives and we feel we’ve missed something. If you’d like to surrender to God’s call, but just can’t, or don’t know how, there’s Good News. His name is Jesus.
