Sermon Series October 12th to October 26th

A colorful graphic with the word 'BLESS' spelled out in individual circles above a row of five smaller circles. Each small circle contains a phrase: BLESS — Begin with prayer, Listen with care, Eat together, Serve in love, Share your story.

BLESS

BLESS is a transformative approach to prayer and evangelism, focused less on memorizing scripts and more on authentically loving our neighbors. It helps us move beyond feeling “stuck” in evangelism, encouraging a more natural, relational practice. Through five simple missional practices. Begin with prayer, Listen with care, Eat together, Serve in love, and Share the story. BLESS equips every Covenanter with practical resources to make disciples who follow Jesus, become like Jesus, and engage in His mission in their daily lives.

Bless: Prayer & Listen

This is the promise that God holds to, that through Abraham, God’s promise, gift, care, favour will come to a world that is caught in it’s own spiral of self-destruction. But here’s the part, the key to the whole story: All the families on earth will be blessed through you. Let’s pause here for a moment. The Story of God is about God blessing not just Abraham, but all the families on earth. You and me get to be a part of God’s blessing. God’s special favour and authority to do what God invites his friends to do is given to you and me, too.

Bless: Eat & Serve

There is a moment in our journey of walking and following Jesus where something changes in us. We spend so much of our lives hoping to get a blessing, to receive from God, to believe that God loves us enough to give us what we need. So we live out our faith with this foundational belief: I need God so God will bless me, not and later. But there comes a moment when we change and shift. We move from looking for a blessing, to realizing we are part of the blessing.

Bless: Share Your Story
