Alpha 2018


Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that explores the basics of the Christian faith. Typically run over 8 weeks, it allows anyone to explore life, faith and God in a friendly, open and informal environment. Hosted by Natasha Backs and Ben Scott who will lead each session with a video, a short talk and food. Meeting Sundays after church at 1 p.m.

When: Sundays starting Sept. 30
Where: Jack and Ann Symes (233159 Glenmore View Rd)
What to bring: A potluck item. Group will be contacted closer too arrange specifics/allergies etc.

Book Study: The Bees of Rainbow Falls

A study of Pastor Preston's book, "The Bees of Rainbow Falls." Explore the book and work through the study guide while reflecting about your own neighbourhood life. Hosted by Courtney Killham-Pease who co-created the companion study of the text. The study will run for 10 weeks on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. 

When: Thursdays starting October 4
Where: Courtney & Nathan's house (256 Rainbow Falls Green) 
Cost: Free, but you will need a copy of the book. Purchase here or borrow from our local library.

Monday Morning Mommas

Motherhood is anything but easy, but support from other moms as you journey through the joys and different stages of childhood (the good, bad, and downright ugly) can help! If you are a mother at any stage from pregnant to parenting grown children and you are looking to make some connections and grow in your walk with God we would love to have you! 

We meet every second Monday around 9:00am at 308 West Creek Drive. Children are more than welcome! Check out the Facebook Page to learn more.

Open Table

A casual and low-key gathering of women monthly on Tuesday evenings. It’s about making space to gather together and hang out. No pressure. Come as you are - the table is always open for you.

When: Starting Nov. 6 (First Tuesday of every month)
Where: Boston Pizza Chestermere
Cost: Just your meal cost

Ladies Book Study

If you enjoy reading and/or are looking to connect with women in the community as we discuss books based on scripture please join us for our next book study! We will be reading though “A Year of Biblical Womanhood” by Rachel Held Evans. “With just the right mixture of humour and insight, compassion and incredulity, A Year of Biblical Womanhood is an exercise in scriptural exploration and spiritual contemplation.” Check out the Facebook Page to learn more.
