Upcoming Small Groups
Alpha is seven week gathering at Preston and Kelly's home, on Sunday afternoons at 1:00 pm starting February 18th, 2018. We'll have soup and a bun, and engage in the alpha journey for about 90 minutes.
Alpha is about the journey of faith, of exploring questions about Jesus, purpose, and the whole point of it all. If you're new to Lake Ridge, or have been here and continue to wonder about the next step in your own journey of faith, Alpha might be for you! Monday Morning Mommas
Motherhood is anything but easy, but support from other moms as you journey through the joys and different stages of childhood (the good, bad, and downright ugly) can help! If you are a mother at any stage from pregnant to parenting grown children and you are looking to make some connections and grow in your walk with God we would love to have you!
We are currently studying "Bad girls of the Bible" and enjoy sharing our motherhood journey with one another over coffee, tea, and snacks.
We meet every second Monday starting September 11 at 9:30am at 308 West creek drive. Children are more than welcome!
VP3: The Journey - FULL
This fall we're exploring the possibility of running another Vantage Point: The Journey. The Journey is a six month long in depth study designed to encourage intentional reflection and conversation around 3 major questions: Who is God? Who am I? And what does God want to do with me? Our goal is to facilitate a safe space where, as a group, we feel free to come as we are, engage with one another and practice the art of doing life together, deeply and intentionally. It is a great opportunity to grow personally by reflecting on the places you've noticed God at work in your life and paying attention to where He may be at work now, and to invest in significant friendships for the long haul.
Ladies Book Study
If you've ever wondered about some of the less well known characters of the bible, this might be the book study for you. We are reading Francine Rivers' "Sons of Encouragement," a series of five novellas that recount the stories of lesser-known biblical character who made an impact on eternity. This historical fiction series looks at the heroes behind the men who shaped history. We discuss what we read and connect as a community - everyone is welcome!
Meetings are at Megan’s house (268 Willowmere Close) on Wednesdays at 7pm. We try to cover one novella per meeting - current booked dates are February 7, March 7, and March 28. For more information email Stephanie at email@example.com or visit our facebook page here.
