The Good News: Accepting the good news

Pastor Evan shares about what does it look like to accept the good news of God's love. How do you accept God news? God gave us the ability to overcome challenges and creatively solve problems. We are all creative, because we are all created in the image of God. It can be an issue for us to receive God's love. We have a tendency to be drawn towards feeling like we haven't earned his endless love - and that we have to pay it off somehow. What does it look like for you to live into the love story of God? Good news is what it looks like to fully live in to a God that frees us.

Safe Christianity is NOT the good news of Jesus

Pastor Preston continues in the sermon series the Good News with a message on risk. The goal of Christianity is relationship with God, in full trust, without fear, and full activated to live like Jesus in the world. The goal is not to avoid a sinful world, live in fear of contamination or avoid risk. Religion makes us afraid. It's good at keeping us in line and giving us rules to follow. But the truth is religion has never been good at containing people. The Good news of Jesus says that being loved changes how we live altogether.
