Dr. Manno is a good friend of Pastor Evan's and Lake Ridge Community. He is also the main person in Haiti who helps to guide our larger body of churches, the Evangelical Covenant Church of Canada (ECCC), in their support of projects in Haiti. The ECCC has committed both prayer and financial support to four primary projects including diabetic care in Haiti, and specifically the clinic that Dr. Manno runs.
One of our values at Lake Ridge is community, and for us this means our local community of Chestermere, but also loving our world. We have sent several groups to Haiti, as well you may remember Erika and Caroline Dewald selling bracelets last year to raise money for diabetic care in Haiti.
Dr. Manno specializes in diabetic care in Haiti, which is a growing epidemic for his community and the country. A diagnosis of Diabetes in Haiti can often mean death as finding the proper care and Insulin is extremely difficult. Sante 2000 (Dr. Manno's clinic) has grown from 60 patients to over 300 in the last 3 years.
Join us for a casual coffee from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, October 14th at the Church Office (340 Merganser Drive West) and get the chance to meet and visit with Dr. Manno and hear about some of his work, his story and life generally in Haiti.
Let us know you'll be there!
